Terms of Service Privacy Policy Community & Safety Guidelines Child Safety Delete Account

In one line: Juno is an adults-only (18+) service with zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). We publish these standards so users, app stores, and regulators can hold us to them.

1. Purpose and scope

This policy sets out Juno's public standards against child sexual abuse and exploitation ("CSAE") and child sexual abuse material ("CSAM"). It applies to every part of the Juno service — profiles, photos, voice conversations with the in-app assistant, and messages between users — and to everyone who uses it. It is published to meet, among other things, the Google Play Child Safety Standards policy and Apple's App Review Guidelines, and it forms part of our Terms of Service alongside our Community & Safety Guidelines.

2. Zero tolerance for CSAE

We prohibit, without exception, any content or conduct that sexualises, exploits, or endangers a child (anyone under 18). This includes:

Any account involved in this activity is permanently removed, and we preserve and report evidence to the appropriate authorities as described in section 6.

3. Juno is for adults only

Juno is strictly for people aged 18 and over. Keeping minors off the platform is our first line of defence:

4. How we detect and enforce

We use a combination of automated detection and human review across profiles, photos, and messages, designed to identify prohibited content and behaviour quickly. When we identify CSAE or CSAM we act immediately:

Enforcement of this policy is never subject to appeal-for-reinstatement in the way other moderation decisions may be.

5. Reporting to us

Every profile and conversation in Juno includes a Report option, and anyone — user or not — can contact us directly. Reports touching child safety are prioritised ahead of all other moderation work:

If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first (999 in the UK).

6. Reporting to authorities

When we identify or are made aware of CSAM or CSAE on the service, we report it to the appropriate bodies, including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and, in the UK, the National Crime Agency / CEOP. We cooperate with law enforcement, respond to lawful requests for information, and preserve relevant evidence in a forensically appropriate way. Where applicable we also work with recognised bodies such as the Internet Watch Foundation.

7. Compliance with child safety laws

We comply with applicable child safety and online safety laws in the regions where Juno operates, including the UK Online Safety Act 2023 and associated codes of practice, and the CSAM reporting obligations that apply to our service. We review this policy against evolving legal standards, and we complete the child-safety declarations required by Google Play and Apple's App Store.

8. Designated point of contact

Our designated child safety point of contact — for users, app stores, regulators, and law enforcement — is:

Matt Hesketh, trading as Juno
Child safety contact: [email protected]
United Kingdom

9. Review and updates

We review these standards regularly and whenever the law, app store policies, or our own service materially change. The "last updated" date above shows the current version, and material changes will be notified in the app.
